Snatch complex from the blocks (plates) this morning @50kg. Weight is nothing to brag about but this was the first time ive tried to Snatch from this position.
Complex is 1 power snatch from above the knee into 2 snatch balance. Was really happy with the movement but felt like there is still a lot to work on!
Was happy with the pull from the blocks (plates) and was looking at getting under the bar fast in that power position but didnt stick the landing as I would have liked. Really focused on aggressive hip extension and finishing the pull with a strong lock out! It is important to keep over the bar and keep your chest up, key is to have a nice bar path all the way through.
Was happy with the two snatch balance as i haven't done this in a while! Felt strong in the shoulders with good lock out staying atrong all the way through, did feel like i needed to revive the bar a little lower but am happy with the depth of the over head squat!
Keep the core strong guys, it will help you control the hips and keep you nice and stable all the way through! Really squeeze the glutes and have control over what you're doing.
All in all once again I am happy with this complex and will be working from this position a lot more in the coming weeks. Stay focused and enjoy your training and everything will follow 💪
